Curt Stacy, Director of Equine Programs

Curt is excited to bring a new recreational outreach program to First Presbyterian Church!  The Therapeutic Equine Assistance Method (TEAM-FPC) is our therapeutic horseback riding program for adults (18+) with disabilities!  Curt obtained his Master of Science degree in Horse Science with a concentration in therapeutic horseback riding from Middle Tennessee State University in 2014.  During his tenure at MTSU, he worked first as a barn assistant and then as the Barn Director for Oak Hill Day Camp.  He also worked as a volunteer, lesson assistant and then as an instructor-in-training at Saddle Up!, where he obtained his Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Int’l) certification in 2016.  He has since worked as a Therapeutic Horseback Riding Instructor at Saddle Up! and continues to direct the Oak Hill Day Camp horse program.

Curt looks forward to helping individuals with disabilities enjoy therapeutic recreational horseback riding through this outreach ministry, while instilling the core values of faith, friendship, tradition, service and respect among the participants, parents/caregivers, volunteers and instructors - all members of the TEAM!
